July is a big time in the calendar for Unionists. It celebrates the victory of King Billy and Orange men march down towns all over Northern Ireland to make this occasion.

However this can cause a lot of fights between nationalists and unionists.

Fry Pen

I have designed this pen using the drawings I have made of a "GOOD OLD ULSTER FRY!"

I think this pen is too busy, there’s too much going on in it an it’s hard to tell what the objects are. I don’t think this would make a good pen.

The Flax flower is a small blue flower grown all over Northern Ireland.  I think it is quite a pretty flower with a simple design with works well with my pen.

It may also be a nice idea to use the symbol for the Northern Ireland assembly (Blue Flax flower) in my design.  As it is quite a pretty flower with a simple design there's a lot of different uses for it in my design.

The Sea has given Belfast a lot of business over the years.  From fishing to Ship building Belfast is international known.

I really enjoy being by the Sea side watching the waves crash by the shore.  This could make an interesting design for my pen.

A Good Old Fry!

There's nothing that wakes you up on a Sunday morning like a good old Ulster Fry!  I may decide to use elements of this in my design.

I find animal skins very exciting as they come in a range of different shapes, sizes and colours. I want my pen to look as attractive as possible and I think animal patterns would really grab the buyers’ attention.


I have drawn some animals which I think would be most interesting as a pen design.

We have been asked to capture the traditions, culture and spirit of Belfast, by designing a pen for Equinox in order to celebrate 25 Years of Business.

Finally got the computer back from the wee IT man,
